The French Cottages property consists of a the main house, newly christened Maison Du Monde – House of France – which was built in 1854. The Cottages were added later and were built with precision to compliment the main house. Modern fixtures combined with 150 year old floors, French furnishings and the ever present hint of lavender makes these cottages the perfect place to stay while visiting the festivals, antique shops, and museums that Jefferson has to offer.

High Quality Lodging & Accommodations

The private suites at the French Cottages in Jefferson, Texas are spotless and appointed with high quality linens, fluffy towels, and signature toiletries. Each one is elegantly furnished with your comfort in mind. There are a total of 3 cottages to choose from, each with different amenities that include 10'-12' ceilings, 100+ year old reclaimed longleaf pine flooring, a gas fireplace, Jetted soaking tub, and even an antique claw foot tub. All of the rooms have French accents, hand carried back from France, that take you back in history to another place and time.

Amenities

Each room is appointed with a TV/Roku, a small refrigerator, hairdryer, and a steam iron.

Complimentary beverages, bottled water, a Keurig coffee machine and an assortment of snacks are available for you.

Ample free parking is available for all our guests.

The French Cottages is located within the Historic center of Jefferson. It is within a 10 minute walking distance to the many shops and eateries. (.3-.5 miles)

Enjoy your own rocking chair and front porch to relax on and enjoy the 100+ year old trees, blooming bushes, and the occasional deer that cross our property. Behind the house is a rustic short 5 minute walk to the river to have a peaceful retreat. You will feel like you are completely off the grid!
